He and DiLynn Martin were united in marriage on October 31, 1964 in Wichita Falls, TX. Charles was a welder. Tammy was born January 23, 1959 in Elaine, Arkansas, to Tom and Delona Pickett. She and her husband, and children had made their home in Comanche for many years. She loved to cook, read, and spend time with her grandchildren.

She loved her family, and loved the opportunities to spend time with all of them. Mary was born on August 22, 1932 in Comanche, the daughter of Alva Pauline and Leonard Smith. On June 9, 1956 she married the love of her life Carl “Cotton” L. Mary was a dedicated mother and was devoted to public education in support of her husband. She worked as a school secretary at Liberty Elementary School until retiring to become a full time “Mema”. She enjoyed reading, including her Bible, gardening and attending any activities related to her granddaughters.

He and Ruth Dobson were united in marriage on December 24, 1952 in Gainesville, TX. They were married for 69 years. He was a hard worker who could make something out of nothing. He enjoyed fishing, and also taking his children and grandchildren hunting. He also was a custom combiner, and he raised cattle.

Growing up in the Woolsey area, he stayed with his grandparents on the Powers family farm while his parents traveled for work. On the farm, he spent his days tending cattle, pigs, and chickens, squirrel hunting, fishing, and roaming the creeks. Many of these days in his youth included his childhood partner in crime, Sue Simmons , where the two partook in shenanigans that country kids find. Mikie went to Comanche public schools through 12th grade, where he graduated in 1968.
